The occasional threatening cloud held back to allow the 2011 Science on the Green golf tournament players to enjoy the spectacular Norman Course at Red Sky Ranch on September 13. Eighteen teams paired up for the scramble, that included some great competition aided by “marmots”, the Science Center’s take on mulligans and the chance for PGA pro Larry Rinker to hit the players’ balls from hole #10.
A silent auction added to the fun and just to change up on the traditional winning teams, prizes were given to the 1st place team (Rita Mueller, Karen Berndt, Vicky Garnsey, Meghan Race), 3rd place team (Dan Patten, Jon Patten, Tom Dunn, David Adkins) and the 7th place team (RA Nelson).
