Colorado Gives Day extended until noon Dec. 7

Cash prizes to be continued and counted through noon tomorrow

ARVADA, Colo. (Dec. 6, 2011) – Due to high traffic from generous donors to the GivingFirst.org website on Colorado Gives Day, and technical difficulties, Community First Foundation is extending the period of online giving to noon on Wednesday, Dec. 7. Contributions will continue to be counted towards Bonus Bucks (drawn every hour until noon on Dec.7) as well as High Five prizes.

“We want to ensure that every generous, passionate donor who wants to support a nonprofit today can so we are extending Colorado Gives Day by 12 hours,” said Marla J. Williams, president and CEO of Community First Foundation. “We so appreciate the patience of donors and nonprofits and we do not want the website issues to interfere with the generosity of the public.”

An email box has been set up so if a donor did not receive an email confirmation receipt of his or her gift, he or she can submit last name, approximate time of the donation, the amount, the method of donation (credit card or e-check) and the nonprofit donated to. Donors can send emails to: verifiedgift@communityfirstfoundation.org.

Williams added that the generosity and support seen so far today has been inspirational.
