Scientists speculate up to as many as 100 meteors per hour during the Perseid shower this weekend. Although Perseids can be viewed anytime after 10pm, peak viewing time will be on the evening of August 12th in the dark hours before dawn. This year the show is made even more spectacular with the alignment of Venus, Jupiter and the crescent moon. Get out there and enjoy our starry Rocky Mountain skies – this is surely an event not to be missed!
Walking Mountains Science Center is open to the public Monday – Saturday from 10am to 6pm with free admission. Please find all of our community events online.
